Parents weekend, at the end of October, began our busy journey to the end of the semester. It started with Hillel’s Friday night dinner, where we sang "Ani Chavatzelet". With the large crowd and lack of mics, we were able to sing our way to applause. The next night, we performed at the one and only Annual Fall Fest’s Variety Show. At this performance we showed Brandeis what Manginah is really capable of.
During the month of November we made our way to different parts of Brandeis’ campus, as well as different parts of Waltham. We were kept busy with many different performances, including volunteering at the EPOCH Old Age Home, the BaRuCH Coffee House, performing for Brandeis’ Kindness Day, performing at the JF&CS Hannukkah event, and hosting our Annual Fall Semester Show. The most memorable moments of this past month were our debuts of our three new songs: "Eretz Yisrael" (opb. Rhonda Bumberg Kahane and Robert Blumberg), "Tagid She’ata Ohev" (opb. Yaya ft. Alma Zak), and "Too Close" (opb Alex Clare). Featuring one of our newest members, Abraham, Manginah debuted to the Brandeis community, on Kindness Day, "Too Close" where we serenaded students walking to class outside in the cold. As for "Eretz Yisrael", featuring Jenna, and "Tagid She’ata Ohev", featuring Matt S. and Coby, they were first performed and only tremendous positive responses at the JF&CS Hanukkah event. All three of these new songs have only gotten great reviews and feedback.
