I write this from the bus heading to New York; my new home after Brandeis. It's a pretty emotional time - but my time with Manginah ended with such a bang that I really can't help but feel overwhelmingly grateful and proud.
Our semester show this year featured our 10 favorite songs in our repertoire, plus some cheesy goodbyes for me and Coby (we are heading out into the world a semester early), and, of course, our flagship/alumni song, Amen.
The highlights of the show were many - in fact, I would say every song was a highlight!! But some especially exciting moments were…
Singing our newest Hebrew songs: Tagid She'ata Ohev (feat. Coby and Matt Sidell) and Eretz Yisrael (feat. Jenna)….
Our fantastic finals senior solos (if I do say so myself), featuring Coby Fleischman on Vi'eich Shelo and myself on Chelek Mimcha…
Wowing the crowd with our rendition of Too Close featuring Abraham Woo…
And I have to say I just LOVED (as always) watching the newest members really hit their stride and give the crowd a run for its money. Serious congrats go to Danielle, Danny, and Abraham.
We couldn't have been more thrilled for the love, support, and applause from our wonderful audience. And while I won't be onstage the next time around, I have no doubt that there are more incredible things to come. So stay tuned y'all!!
Ps. For goodbye presents they gave Coby a stuffed pumpkin-pug (pug in a pumpkin) and me a personalized Manginah-picture water bottle (which I will never lose)! Manginah is the best.
